RACHEL BLOOM 2017 EMMYS BEAUTY BREAKDOWN by Celeb Makeup Artist @roxylook, who says "For Rachel’s Emmys makeup look, I wanted to play up her eyes with a soft smoked, romantic look that would complement her beautiful Gucci gown.

For her eyes it was all about soft layering. I started with Rejuva’s pressed mineral eyeshadow in Mocha Latte from her lash line to her crease, extending out to play up her gorgeous cateye shape. Next I used pressed mineral eyeshadow in Brazilian Brown in the out corners to add more dimension. I used Acai Berry on the center of her lids to give a soft pink romantic and fun twist to the classic smokey eye look. To add some highlight to her eyes I used pressed mineral eyeshadow in White Diamond on the very center of her lids and in the inner corners of her eyes.

For liner I wet a sharp angled brush and used both Brazilian Brown and Moonless Night along both top and bottom lash lines. I extended Mocha Latte under her eyes a bit to balance it out from the top." Be sure to click on the Reviews Tab for complete breakdown...

General Brush Recommendations:

When applying Mocha Latte' or Brazilian Brown as a cake liner (wet application), try our Angle Liner Brush. Iris may also be used as a cake liner. For the crease area, smudging, or for the "smokey eye look", try our Shadow Smudge or Crease Brush. For all over lid application, or for brushing off powder residue, try our All Over Lid brush. Our Flocked Eye Shadow Sponge may also be used for all over lid application. When using White Diamond to highlight larger areas such as cheeks, apply lightly with our Petite Face brush. Or, our highlight brush for under the brow bone. When using Tropical Sunset on your cheeks or as a bronzer, try our Petite Face Brush for a natural, sheer application.

More Tips:

Before application, be sure to prime with Multi Task powder. For the best results, use three shades to shape the eye. These three shades consist of a highlighter, mid-tone (crease) shade and contour shade.

Use a light shade, such as White Diamond or Beach Bum, as your highlighter color. Highlighter should be applied to your eye lid, blending up toward your brow bone. To create a ‘wide awake’ look, apply highlighter to the inner corner of the eye.

Use a mid-tone shade such as Mocha Latte’, Tropical Sunset or Iris to define the crease of the eye. Our Multi Purpose Pressed Powder Face & Eye shades, such as Acai Berry, Pink Parfait may also be used. To apply, start from the outside of the crease and gently move your brush across the crease toward your nose. Make sure to blend well with the highlighter shade so that there are no harsh edges.

For contouring the eyes, use the darkest of the three shades, such as Brazilian Brown. Apply your contour shade from the outer corner of your eye to the crease, blending slightly inward. The contour shade should only be applied to the outer third of the eyelid. You may also want to use the contour shade as an eye liner. Please see eye liner application tips.

For a smoky eye effect, you can use your contour or mid-tone color all over the lid, beginning at the lash line and blend as you move upwards to the crease. Make sure to blend well for the true "smoky eye" look!

Dark tones make the area seem more dramatic and receding. Lighter shades will bring attention to the eyes and make them appear larger.

When shopping for a shade, pay close attention to the products "description" rather than the color displayed on your monitor, as each monitor will display the images differently. Colors that are opposite of your eye color will make eyes “pop”. Skin tone is also a factor when choosing the right eye shadow or liner. For example, if you have very dark skin, try to avoid shades that are too light. Likewise, if you have very light skin, you should avoid shades that are too dark.

Hello, I just wanted to thank you...your pressed eye shadow is the ONLY shadow I have been able to wear in more than 5 years.  I get ezcema  or a rash on my eyelids when I use anything with mica or  titanium dioxide (and who knows what else).  Vegan and mineral eyeshadows still contain some of those ingredients and I have searched a long time for something I can wear.  So thank you for making such a pure product - I am so excited to be able to wear shadow again! Jennifer Rohn

I chose the colors mocha and beach bum. I really like keeping naturals and nudes on my eyes personally and these colors are gorgeous. So subtle and a perfect nude but still enough to give a little pop to the eyes and a softer look. Taylor W.

For complete look, click here . For credits, click here. "For Rachel’s Emmys makeup look, I wanted to play up her eyes with a soft smoked, romantic look that would complement her beautiful Gucci gown. I first prepped her skin with moisturizer and serum to give me a soft and supple base create from.

I then used Rejuva Minerals Luminous Creme Foundation in Macadamia Nut to even out her skin tone with a seamless finish. I set her foundation with Rejuva’s Multi Task powder to give her skin a flawless finish that allowed her skin to breathe and look naturally radiant.

For liner I wet a sharp angled brush and used both Brazilian Brown and Moonless Night along both top and bottom lash lines. I extended Mocha Latte under her eyes a bit to balance it out from the top. I curled her long lashes and used Rejuva’s Water Resistant Mega Lash for more volume and length. Rachel was performing at the Emmy’s so it was important to use a water resistant mascara that would not run from sweat. To finish her look I swept on the perfect natural pink lipstick with a bit of highlight in it for dimension, "Champagne On Ice.
